Katie Schlientz is the founder of SophistiKate Design. She has worked in the publishing industry for over ten years, working on staff for several publications including Woman’s World Magazine, The Journal News, InTown Westchester, Rockland Magazine, The Bridal Book, AKC Gazette, and Family Dog in both editorial and design capacities. She was previously the author of two blogs: Single in the Suburbs (for the Journal News/LoHud.com) and Katie Eats A Lot (a food blog dedicated to single living). She is currently the social media coordinator for Woman's World Magazine Facebook page. She also teaches social media and design classes at the Scarsdale Adult School.

Katie serves as art director for Project You Magazine, an e-book established by Beth Feldman (RoleMommy.com) that recieves over 1 million views per issue. She is responsible for the entire visual concept of the magazine, and also spearheads the design of ProjectYouMagazine.com. 

Katie has also created marketing materials, websites, brochures, and invitations for several clients including Canon America, NovaSim, Plain White Press, LLC, and Go Green Car Wash. 

Katie is a graduate of Canisius College (Buffalo, N.Y.) where she dual majored in communication and English. She received her Master’s degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in Newspaper, Magazine, and Online Journalism.
